Update: The order is now complete and I received the missing part. I ordered a shock and stabilizer combo. Trends Auto Blamed UPS for not sending me a steering stabilizer. They told me that the part fell out during shipping and for me to make a claim to UPS.

    I've had these on my Jeep Wrangler Rubicon for 4 months now and I'm very happy with these shocks. Nice ride (firm, but not too firm), rides even better with 4 passengers on board. Shocks maintain height even when you carry a heavy load of firewood in the cargo area. Took family for a day for off-roading at Holly Offroad Park in Michigan and was able to drive thru the majority of the courses without any problems. Keep in mind that these are great shocks if used for the purpose intended which is everyday city driving or light off-roading on the weekends (not for rock climbing or other extreme roads). Excellent price point for a complete set of shocks with this level of performance. In my opinion, these shocks would meet the needs of 90 - 95% of Jeep Wrangler owners who don't take their vehicles off road. Two thumbs up!!

    It took me 2 hours to install just the front passenger shock. That was about the same time it took me to install both rear shocks. I sprayed all the shocks with a couple of coats of clear coat to mitigate future rusting. The end result of about 6 hours of work? The ride quality compared to the old 100k mile OEM shocks is like night and day! The Jeep rides soft on bumps yet firm at speed. It displays no rebound, handles tight on turns (for an old jeep) and is comfortable to drive on the highway. I highly recommend these shocks!

The Rancho Cross Tuned technology features an exclusive rebound valving system and advanced compression phase, optimizing handling and performance on and off road. Its Exclusive Progressive Engagement Valving is custom-tuned for each vehicle, reducing initial impacts at low speeds and delivering a smoother ride. Equipped with a 16-millimeter nitro-carburized piston rod to resist scuffs and corrosion, double-welded loops at stress areas, and a 35-millimeter sintered iron piston for enhanced structural integrity, it also boasts a polyvinyl protective boot. The large twin-tube body, filled with all-weather fluid, allows for cooler operation, increased vehicle control, and the ability to withstand internal temperatures from -40 to 248 degrees Fahrenheit. A polyurethane rebound bumper and rubber bushings help absorb ride harshness, while the fluon-banded piston enhances responsiveness to changing road conditions for an overall smoother ride. Nitrogen gas pressurized to 150 PSI minimizes air-to-oil mixture, reducing damping performance fade and foaming. The Compression Control Valve is custom-tuned for each vehicle to regulate fluid transfer, absorbing impacts without disc flutter and maintaining shock motion control.
